Default RX8 injectors

Is anyone using DENSO 195500-4460 RX-8 blue top injectors? They are rated at 540cc@3bar 13.8ohm, higher than the usual yellow tops people in the UK go for. Is there any reason why these would be a bad idea?

As long as you have a different than stock ECU, the injectors are high impedence, and they are PNP for the miata, you should have no issues at all.

Those injectors look 100% Miata PNP to me. I wish I would've known about these before I bought my 425cc's (195500-4450).

Thanks for the replies, I've now just bought a set. I was just wondering why they have never been mentioned before.

They are used and from a 2004 RX8. How does that make them fake or an obvious clone?

Add in the cost of getting them cleaned and I still think they are a good price.

I want a set of these pretty bad. At $107 you can't go wrong!

I've tuned a car that has the blue "525cc" injectors. I can tell you right here and now, I wouldn't tune a car with these again.

Are these the same injectors?

What was the problem with the tune?

These injectors don't like to idle at less than 14.2-14.3 at all. The idle hunts a bit too much for my own taste when EGO is enabled around idle too. This indicates poor atomization and linearity on low pulsewidths. I understand that people are looking to save money as much as possible, however the injectors would probably be one of the last things you want to "gamble" with.

Thanks for the advice. What injectors do you think would be ideal for a car running upto about 200bhp that wont break the bank?

Do you remember what the idle RPM's were? I could deal with idle being at 14.2 AFR, as long as it idles under or near 1,000 rpm's.

I'd get the yellow 425cc rx8 ones...4450 is the last 4 numbers. They should be good for your goal.
