Default so I went to the drag strip.. part 2!

went to cecil again today, and im getting better!

14.7 @ 103.2 mph!!

that was on my third run, and I only got 3 in (veryyy busy)

but, my launch is getting better, even tho I have a ways to come (and I need a 1.8L diff...)

Ever dyno it? How much HP? Whats it weigh?

will be dynoed on the 5th.. weight should be around 2300 lbs...

Its at 10 psi of boost.

103mph is GREAT!

14.7sec is TERRIBLE!

That says good power but terrible traction. Just to give you a reference, In my AWD that weighs 3800lbs, (heavy as hell, but good traction) I ran 104mph, at 13.2.

Your numbers are wayyyyyyy off. No more power mods. I dont know how much more power you could buy for $300, but if you put it into tires, you just bought -1.5 seconds in the quarter mile!

seriously, try some good drag radials. You will look at your car like "That performance was there the whole time?!"

put some 225/50 15's on the rear with a 1.8 diff and you will stick the launch much better.

Whats your RT? You don't need drag radials to get a good launch, those RT615s have (potentially) more grip than your diff can handle with a quick spin on the way up to the line.

yes i would vote for you to get the 1.8 rear end...i just ran my car at the track i pulled a 13.7 @ 101 with a horrible 60ft. although im only boosting 9psi with just the RRFPR and the bipes compared to your megasquirt

I'm tellin' ya man, those are some GOOD mphs!

My friends 1994 1.8 w/JRSC dynoed 160rwhp, weighs 2400 pounds and at the 900' approx elevation in Topeka Kansas he was clicking off 14.7 around 98mph with 2.4 60's. I *KNOW* his car is good for 13.8s, its been put against a car that generally runs 13.8 - 14.0 passes and was side by side.. It also has 210,000 miles and burns a quart of oil ever 40 miles.

I have issues getting my car off the line at cecil also...... with a 3.something 60ft I trapped at 108mph and ran a 14 flat....
