I always wanted a Ralleye350, but as I got into a financial position to actually afford something like that, their prices just skyrocketed and stayed out of reach .
I also have a 70 98LS Holiday Sedan w/ its original 455/TH400. Body's starting to go, but the drivetrain is sweet.
That's quite the collection. I used to want a toronado for a cruiser but I can't deal with the MPG

By all means.
Look through vBGarage. These are the people that I can recall who broke 250wheel on stock motors:
Ben
Y8s
FoundSoul
I know these guys got close, but don't think they did it:
brgracer
olderguy
These guys are around 300wheel, with built motors:
AndyFloyd
MarkP
Search through their builds and see what it takes. There might be others, but I can't think of any right now.

friend of mine, not on here, has slightly more than 290 whp on stock internals, and had so for years and years, went through 3 trannies and still on first motor (1.8 BTW)
250 ish should not be a problem if you take care of it...

Yeah it can be hit or miss. I know a lot of people in the 323/protege (BG) community that are making that kind of power or more without much trouble with basically the same motor.

We'll see what happens though, it'll be later in next summer probably before I even have a setup running. I'm not worried
