A 99 with stock intake was peaking for me about about 5k rpm and stayed flat for a bit and start to noticeably taper off between 7k and 8k. With a flat top 5k didnt drop but the peak moved closer to 6 and hardly dropped off going to 8k. This is with an RB header and shorty catless exhaust. But basically it looked like every other na VE map ever (vtec and vvt excluded).

Can you say anything as to the VE values? I would like to keep my spreadsheet as accurate as possible.

I'm pretty sure at this point that the VE values from hydra do not predict real life.

This thread now contains the phrase "Unicorn Smoothie." Therefore, all you must to in the future to find it is to type Unicorn Smoothie into the search window.

ok I was going to bump, but now that I read the post about unicorn smoothies I no longer need to. Has anyone here ever tried running cfd programs (such as star ccm+) on the hypothetical of a valve closing and opening? I know it would be rather difficult to simulate the event itself, but perhaps the event in snapshots?
