Default T25 / T28 turbo manifold / turbo question

I'm a newbie, so please bear with me. I have a Garrett 2554R Turbo with a T25 flange from a flying Miata Turbo Kit with a cast T25 turbo Flying Miata manifold. I'm looking to buy a GT2871 Turbo but It has a T28 Flange. I'm looking at the Gt2871 with dual ball bearings from CXRacing or Twisted Motion LV. Everywhere I look it says T25/T28 like either will work. I'm trying to buy a turbo that I can bolt to the Flying Miata manifold and Bring me 400+HP. Is that possible or am I asking for too much. I am open to suggestions.

lol, if this is your concern on your way to 400 hp, you got a ways to go.

Anyway, for that goal, an EFR turbo would be a much better option. IMO. Also, a log manifold is a rough way to 400 too. buy cyberoptix manifold and win, in the classified section.

You got the ***** to drive a 400 hp miata? how about the bank account to support the build?

T25 and T28 is the same flange. The 2871 is a direct bolt on swap on the FM hardware.

You will be sorely disappointed to know that a China 2871 will not do 400+ hp.

Is your motor built to support 400hp?
Do you have a transmission that can hold 400hp?

Post your car specs and we can make recommendations for the best route to your goals.

It's a 95 Melot M with a 1.8
Full rebuild with Engine bored to 1.9L
3 angle valve job on head
Boundary Engineering Billet Oil Pump
Manley Forged H-Beam Rods / Supertech Forged Pistons 84mm
ARP Head and Main Stud kit
ACL Racing Bearing Set
ATI Harmonic Balancer
Deatschwerks DW300 340LPM Fuel Pump
Deatschwerks 1000cc Fuel Injectors
Radium High Flow Fuel Rail
Stock Tranny and Diff for now. And I know they'll be toast soon. I'll baby it as long as I can. I won't be driving it every day.

You got the motor for 400hp, but a 5spd or 6spd miata transmission will be short lived on a 400hp build.

You seriously want to put a china special $300 turbo on a $3000+ motor?

a cxracing 2871 will not get you anywhere near 400hp.

look into a real garrett, such as the GTX2867 or GTX2863

Want 400 hp? Buy my Artech ramhorn top mount manifold to go with your motor build. The bottom end is pretty much miataturbo prescribed and should be fine for what you seek. Just be wise about your transmission and driving habits.

When You put it like that, $300 to $3000, it doesn't make a lot of sense.
