Default T3 Turbo Housing crack

I am starting a build up on a miata and I finally purchased a turbo. In the rebuilding process I found a crack on the tubro housing. How bad is this? Do I need a new turbo? No signs of crack on the outside.

That's definitely the worst crack I've seen on a usuable turbo. I say run it until you find a replacement for cheap though. It's going to get worse and worse but that might take a year of hardcore expansion and contraction to really matter. As long as nothing is sticking out and into the blades of the turbine wheel then I say go for it.

If it's a .48AR stage 1, you can probably find another on eBay for cheap

That doesn't look good. I'd change it out before even putting it in because doing things twice sucks.

If he wants to run the car this weekend I wouldn't hesitate to run it, if he has all kinds of time then I would definitely source another. Hell i might even have one in better shape that that piece.. What A/R is it?
