Top mount air filter options?
I see a lot of the pics here are showing side-mount manifolds, but what about top-mounts like the HKS? The main issue is hood clearance. I tried a 45 degree elbow that I found at pep-boys of all places, and it doesn't work. There's just not enough room to fit everything.
An elbow like this one should work however

Now just gotta figure out where to get one.
In any case, this is how I have my IC pipes routed (so far, I just put it together).

Mine is top mount. Here's my current set up using a reducer 45* bend from siliconeintakes.com. I doubt you won't find what you need there. But yes- I'm using that foam mushroom filter because I couldn't find anything in a K&N catalog that would fit the same space and give the same surface area. But I've got a less room than you. You should be able to use a bend hose and aim it down into the same spot with plenty of room for a K&N style filter.
Mine is top mount as well (doesn't get much more top-mount than the Greddy manifold IIRC) but the key was to clock the turbo. If your PS reservoir is still in the way... sack up and get rid of it.
