If you learned to read you would have seen that there is a sticky at the top of the DIY section called DIY FaQ - All your answers in one big post and you would have found a lot of the answers in there. Also this is not a forum where we spoon feed at all. You are asking a question, that has been asked many times before. You have shown that you have not used the search button at all to even see if anyone else has asked. So prepare to be fucked with by the regulars.

How is a diy faq going to tell me the cheapest/most expensive diy builds and what ones lasted. I know what is needed to turbo a miata and what hp they can handle before you have to start building the internals. Using a phone makes shifting through 1k search results a pain.
Oh wait, I don't have time for that.
The cheapest DIY setup on here that worked was an eBay kit that has been running at about 300 WHP for over 6 years on an otherwise stock 220k+ mile engine. So you could go that route. It's just a plain old ebay kit, nothing special. Like the guy above said, most of us just do that since it's cheap and easy.

How much monnies? All of it.
How much HP? As much as you can.
How long last? Until they failed.
It was nice seeing you around. Thanks for stopping by.

Oh, ok, my mistake. Since you don't have the time, let me take the time to help you. I've spent hours reading threads, so let me take an hour to type out a detailed post cataloging the best and worst build threads.

Then stop. Because that's what 99% of us here have done.
Dude.
You want to know what people have done. How can it possibly be more distilled than READING WHAT THEY HAVE DONE?
Go to the build threads linked above. READ THEM.
