Honestly I want a big assed Diesel van to tow the miata around, not to show off my huge penis.

I must confess I have a crew cab F350 Diesel with 8 foot bed. It is the tow vehicle for my non-miata project vehicle :)

400+ hp miata is awesome traction is 100% the killer. My car hooks with huge slicks on it. I cut the hell out of the fenders and stuffed some hoosier 26x8.5" tires under it it gets traction all the time. On the street I run Mickey Thompson et streets and even those strugle to put the power down below 60 mph. If you want 400hp listen to soviet or do an LS swap or something like that. But I can only say that if you really really want 400hp be prepared for tires and rear axles. With good street tires my car is a hunk of crap. Wheel spin like crazy all the way thru 4th gear. I am talking 90 mph violent rev limiter banging wheel spin. So that being said I love my car and how fast it goes and to me it still seems slow because all the guys I have out with have 650-1000hp cars lol

Really, that is your idea of supporting mods?

You have to ask yourself some of the following questions.

When you step on the gas four or more times, what parts are going to explode or fall off the car?

Will the car actually move in a forward direction efficiently with the power you are putting down?

Will the car actually stay on the road when turning?

If the car does leave the road, will you live or die?

Needless to say it's getting a little boring at 200ish hp and I don't like the way it was done. The only way for me to feel like I actually did something is a crazy build my way. I've ridden In or driven a few ~300hp ones there fast no dought. I just want to feel like I really did something and I'm a little nuts I guess. Gary The guy that owns track dog racing (There local for me) asked me if I was "fucking retarded" in his office.

Gary is right. For more than one reason.

I like Gary.

Good luck. Please document how daily you drive this car after it has 450hp. Or rather how it is more of a "daily repair" car.

Wow dude good for you! Awesome.

I'm trying to get to 450WHP. I think I'll be happy there. I'm already @ 410WHP just need to squeeze more juice out of the lemon, no pun intended.

How much boost you pushing out now?? I might have missed that detail in your craigslist listing.

18psi 06-03-2017 02:19 PM

what's the details of your setup?
cause I really doubt you're making 490hp.
and by really doubt, I mean I'm calling BS

ridethecliche 06-03-2017 02:41 PM

Are you running a coolant reroute or a damper pulley?I

stock 1.8 brakes?

technicalninja 06-03-2017 02:44 PM

Just search miata on Dallas Craigslist.
He's trying to sell it.
I couldn't make heads or tails of the "dyno chart" but it may be because I'm unfamiliar with that software...
Not appealing to me. NA8 based
He just updated his post on CL for YOU 18PSI!
It is first on the list
