Default Turbo Manifold & Downpipe compatibility

Hey guys, so I currently have a 1.6 miata. A while back, i managed to snag a great deal on a brand new complete fm2 kit, but it's for a 1.8 NA
I am gonna turbo the 1.6, and have managed to get a used BEGI manifold. As for the downpipe, would it have to be one from BEGI as well, would i be able to mix and match with one from say, Flyin Miata since BEGI used to be associated with FM? I'm assuming manifolds and downpipes have to go hand-in-hand for fitment?

If you got a complete 1.8 FM kit, the easy button would be a 1.8 swap.

This is the correct decision. You will spend about as much on a 1.6 manifold and turbo as a used 94-97 motor.

I already have a begi 1.6 manifold so im just looking for a matching downpipe. Bottom line is, I cant just mix and match DP with the manifolds right, say my begi manifold with some ebay crap?

p.s thanks for the advice. I'd rather sell my 1.6 NA and get a 1.8 but im hella picky, waiting on a Montego Blue and Tan to complete my collection so i figured i would boost the 1.6 in the meantime and return it back to stock once i find my dream miata.
