Will running the thermostat bypass through the turbo cause it to heat the water more than usual and keep the thermostat open more often?

If I were to take the water line from the B6T location in the block, where would be a good place to return it? intercepting the heater return line? what about just intercepting the heater return line?

disclaimer: I'm sure this has been at least partially covered before but I couldn't find it when I searched.
