if you want to do that just dont hit the switch

but won't that make me run at a minimum of 10 psi ? i don't really have the means to support more then maybe 7psi right now -_-

Sell that thing to somebody who can use it and build yourself one... or just get one of these.

For the low boost you're talking about, the cheap eBay one will work great.

Brain shows how to build one in the DIY projects section. Here's an almost identical approach: http://www.geocities.com/chmwatson/FAQs/mbc.html

i ran 7 on my dual stage no probs. but youd be best off putting it back together and selling it as they are not cheap and youd get quite a bit for it and just by their single stage. youd walk away witha little extra cash that way

What is your wastegate spring? You might not need a boost controller if it's a 7 psi spring.

I've always wondered how those dual stages worked.

it looks like if you plug the port for the solenoid then you'd have youself a normal MBC. If it boosts too much at the sofest spring setting, you may need to cut a coil or two off.

there fun as hell! had one set at 8 psi and the other at 14.5. you can flip the switch while already being in full boost. its a blast  its hillarious to do in the middle of a race, everyone suspects you of spraying, you can make some good money that way cause you can sandbag hella easy with it.

Yeah I understand the concept, just would like to understand what's acutally going on the change to boost levels. Like when the solenoid is activated how exactly does it override the first spring setting.
