This may be in the wrong section, but I wanted to share my experience with buying a used engine from Yossi in the UK. This is a BP4W I bought to upgrade my 1.6 JDM turbo engine next year, when I get ancy to start something in the garage. First off, the prices are great IMO for a used complete engine with (in my case) 62K miles. I was pretty surprised at how well the thing was crated up, having had US engines sent to me barely strapped down to a pallet, floating on an old tire, etc. It was fully surrounded with 3/4 in. plywood, and had an inner frame to support it. Exterior of the engine is pretty crusty, but it will clean up pretty easy, should be a good base for my future move to a 1.8. Thanks Yossi!

I don't want to pile on but I bought a vvt motor with 83k on it. The crating was superb. Motor was a little scary rusty, as I've never had to deal with rust before, but it cleaned right up. Motor runs great. Shipping was faster than I expected as well.
