Sam all it does is increase injector PWs it doesn't matter what injectors you use. If your stock ECU can idle the injectors then the voodoo will still increase the PW of what they're being controlled at under boost. It won't affect idle. It's not like its hard to swap injectors in the early 1.8s anyway, just do it and find out for yourself.

That's exactly what I thought. My buddy called FM and they told him point-blank the Voodoo would not function properly if he went to a larger injector. I'd read that same thing several places before and it had me starting to believe maybe there was some magic going on where it actually wouldn't work properly.

Well, that settles it. RFLYNN, you reading this... get some 305's!

alright thanks for the help guys it looks like i have to snag some Supra 305's. Will the 305's help me out at the top end around 5700rpm where the Air/fuel starts running wild? will i need a larger fuel pump like a walbro 225 or 255? only reason im wondering is all aspects was telling me that if i want to lose the stock exhaust and upgrade that it would present more problems and the air/fuel would get even worse.

The current fuel pump is plenty. You just need some larger injectors so you don't have to run the Voodoo at it's max capability. Turning down the pots with larger injectors should help you not be as rich on the top-end... but that's the stock ECU for ya. It goes crazy rich and there's nothing you can do.

Get a wideband man. $250 is cheap compared to a motor rebuild.

Im running a voodoo box along with a sr20 t25 turbo. I talked to kevin at FM, said if i want a little bit more fuel, buy injectors from a 2001 miata. They flow the same as a 99 however they have a better spray......if that makes any sense.

Picked up a set that were rebuilt, i could imagine they would provide more fuel since the 2001 miata's run higher compression vs 99 miata.

For the Voodoo box that is the only route you can go for fuel.
