Wastegate Actuator Bracket Issue?
 

Hello all! I will soon (maybe this weekend) be installing my diy turbo kit but I've run into a possible issue. I have an ISR T25 and it come clocked with the compressor outlet pointed up. The issue is when I reclock it, the existing wastegate actuator bracket doesn't work. Does anyone run a turbo that points up and then does a 180 with charge piping back down? I think I can make it fit under the hood with some 2" piping but just wasn't sure if anyone had input. BEGi manifold by the way, not that it matters.

Pictures would help. From the pictures on their website it actually looks like it would point the compressor outlet directly at the side of the head, so maybe yours is different. You may have to fabricate something if there's no holes to remount the bracket.

For now I only have a photo I pulled from online, but when I get home I will upload a photo or 2. IIRC its pointed nearly 90 degrees from the manifold, maybe slightly towards the head but can't be by much. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...64cb22211.jpeg

Is that a ball bearing t25? How much did it cost you?

No it is a journal bearing I got for something like $350. Down the line I hope to rebuild a gt2560r and swap that in

What about an adjustable bracket like Garrett Adjustable Wastegate Bracket : atpturbo.com ?

Ive seen those before but not sure if I would have any bolts I could use to attach it the way it would be clocked. I'd like to use the wastegate bracket I have and just run a 90 before it hits the hood but I just want confirmation that I'll have room to do this before I get halfway through bolting everything up and realizing it won't fit. Then again I could run without a hood for a bit

thanks for the link! I think I'm going to get one of those brackets down the line and drill and tap to make it work
