where to t28
sr20 forums are a cheap place to get used t25's, where does one get cheap and plentiful t28's if such a thing exists?

ebay.com

branded garrett, no better source?
|
Truth of the matter is, chinese turbochargers have come a long way in the past 5 years or so. Why spend 125 bucks on a used OEM garrett turbo in unknown condition when you can buy a brand new chinese t28 for $200? Too many people are using these successfully to ignore them.
|
i would, but i need a garret turbo charger, i'm locationally challenged.
|
OOOOOOhhhh. I see. That is teh suck with the carb E.O. restriction. I'd bum around the SR forums if I were you :/.
|
Found my T28 on the sr20forums for 350shipped. Just gotta wait around.
|

Join some Canadian Nissan Skyline GTR forums and you will usually find a bunch of T28's.

I have a GTi-R t28 from my old DET powered SE-R for sale, $300 + shipping. It worked 100% and boosted great but I started to notice some puffs of smoke during deceleration.

There is a big difference between a GTR t28, a GTi-R t28 or an s14 t28. If I remember correctly from my Nissan days you want the GTi-R (sunny/pulsar) t28 or if you can't find one of those an s14 t28. You definitely don't wan't the skyline gtr t28, the turbine is much too small.

I would check the SE-R forums as mentioned as well as the Sylvia conversion forums. The S14 T28 is the same as the GT2560R (most of them call it a T28). Also, the VW 1.8T guys use that turbo as well so they sell them sometimes.
I bought the two I recently sold from Craigslist, but I live in a Navy town and the Navy guys seem to have extra turbos more often than most. |
