Went to the dyno the other day was shooting for 225whp but only made 219whp, It looks like I was still making power up top do you think if the dyno guy went to say 6,700 instead of stopping at 6.300 I could have squeezed out a few more hp's ?

Garrett T-25 .48/.49
410cc injectors
A/F 11.5 @ 75% injector Duty cycle
Emanage Blue
219 whp @10.25 psi

yes, you would have hit your goal. never rely on the stock tach; it's always at least 500rpm too fast at high rpms.

pretty nice torque curve.

Turbo_4 03-26-2009 11:35 AM

Damn, you are at 75% duty with 415's on a t25? Any other fuel mods?

Braineack 03-26-2009 11:38 AM

i was at 80% with 460s at 232rwhp.

elderc 03-26-2009 11:39 AM

Thanks, thats what I was thinking next time I'll have the dyno guy push a little more RPM's, remember the stock fuel pressure on the NB's is 57-61 psi ( the injectors are 360cc from a 323 gtx but the flow rate is 410 @ 57psi stock fuel pump)

Mach929 03-26-2009 11:40 AM

what's the specifics on the rest of your setup.

just rev until you hit the limiter...that's why it's there.

elderc 03-26-2009 12:03 PM

I'am all about hitting the rev limt, but for some reason the dyno guys don't want to do it?
Other mods : Koyo 37mm Rad, 2-1/2 racing beat midpipe, Borla exhaust, turbosmart MBC, saab turbo downpipe, NGK wideband, EMB, Bilstein HD's, Spec 1 clutch 18x12x3 intercooler, otherwise stock.

m2cupcar 03-26-2009 12:16 PM

That's a nice looking pull - good curves. It really is a shame he didn't stay in it. It's pretty much mandatory to tell the dyno operator to stay in it until X rpm and do not look at the car's tach, watch the computer screen with the ign pick up.

elderc 03-26-2009 12:33 PM

I told him to take to at least at least 6,700 I guess he was looking at my tach instead of his computer screen.

Man, I'm scared now. Same setup and I'm at 8 psi with stock injectors.

I need me some mo bigga ones.

paul 03-26-2009 02:13 PM

nice numbers for 10psi

Savington 03-26-2009 02:20 PM

Very nice numbers. The 99 heads flow hard up top. It's a shame you didn't rev it to the limiter, though.

elderc 03-26-2009 02:36 PM

The 99 head flows better than I thought I was suprised I was still making power up top with a small T-25, I made one pass at 11.50psi and lost 18hp so for that turbo anything beyond 10-10.5psi must be in the chock zone ?

Braineack 03-26-2009 02:42 PM

yeah, but what rpm did he decide to lift at? :brain:

elderc 03-26-2009 02:52 PM

6,084 RPM is what my data log shows. maybe he lifted to soon ? I might have picked up a few more hps. if he stayed in it longer.
He told me the pass at 11.50 was 10mph faster than 10.25psi, so does that mean at 11.50psi @ 6,084 produces more mph than 10.25@ 6,300 ?

paul 03-26-2009 03:14 PM

haha, it can't mean that. gears are gears. it could only mean you got to a certain point in less time.

elderc 03-26-2009 03:20 PM

That what I'am talking about....................but I'am no "dyno guy" lol

paul 03-26-2009 03:25 PM

maybe he meant the 10psi pass topped out 10mph faster than the 11psi pass. but does 216rpm in 4th gear translate to 10mph?

edit: Just checked and that only makes a 3.4 mph difference if you have a 5 speed with 205/50/15s

elderc 03-26-2009 03:35 PM

All passes were in 3rd gear (5spd) and tires are 205/45/16 if that helps, so bottom line I guess I'll have to go back to the dyno for a do-over lol.
