Thought this might be of interest to someone. I've been running this for the last ~2,500 miles while I build my spare motor.

210ftlbs and 250whp
175kpa rising to 190ish kpa
40-80mph in 3rd gear takes 4.29 seconds for reference.

2002 UKDM NB2
Squaretop manifold
Unopened stock 1.8 VVT engine
640cc FlowForce
DW200
ME221
36-2 trigger wheel
EFR 6258
EBC
Kraken low mount manifold
Kraken 3" downpipe and exhaust from trubo back

Should have mentioned this is on 95 RON (CA91) pump gas. Both runs are the same road in opposite directions.

Had a request via pm for timing table and injector duty so here they are.

Timing

Injector duty

That torque curve is a thing of beauty. I love boost creep when you have the fuel for it.

the torque plateu looks freaking amazing, you have done a wonderful job. That is like the perfect curve for a stock motor keep it flat and at 200ftlb and let it carry up top and get 250whp. Well done brother.

Default Boost controller

Hey so I’m gunna be running almost the same setup as this and I was just wondering if you had a boost controller or just ran it off wastegate? Also it’s been a couple months how is the car holding up?

Still going like a champ! Running EBC since day one.

Stock motor still surviving this tune. I should have had my forged motor in by now but instead I stupidly invested all my money into crypto at the back end of last year and now I'm poor. Anyway, here's a 5th gear pull. 200lbft just after 3000rpm peaking at 225lbft. This pull ends at 5600rpm because 3.6 diff, 5th gear, and I ran out of autobahn.

Tempted to up the boost beyond 4000rpm and see if we can push for 300hp out of a stock motor. Should I?

As long as you know the risks, definitely.
For what it's worth, a lot of the banana rod blocks on here never blew up.
Just kept lowering compression as the rods got shorter

I have seen 400whp out of a stock never opened BP. It was good for about a handful of passes at the track, but would have probably lasted longer on the street.
I have also seen a rod ejected at 200whp/180tq. BP's are like a box of chocolates, you never know which one you're gonna get

Do it, I was helping a guy last year tune his car and he also had a stock motor. We just ramped in boost hard after 5500rpm where there is less stress on the rods and he was making over 300 and it never blew up.

225tq at 7000 is EXACTLY 300hp. I want to see it, ramp it up

I do only 5th gear runs bc 4th is the weak gear in the az6. I'm making 419whp on the last VD run I did earlier this year. Sometimes 4th can spin if it's cold out as well so 5th is just easier.

I'm also interested in the results of ramping in the boost after 5k or so.

You guys have me tempted to turn my unopened vvt up now. 10k miles at the same power level is starting to get boring. Currently making 235hp on VD with 10psi tapering to 12 with ebc. I'm pretty sure I'm close to the limits of the turbo Lars supplies with his kits though.

If you don't see 8-10hp per every 1psi increase, you're at the limit of something and should stop
