Here is the dyno chart... Feel free to discuss. Numbers are uncorrected. Corrected numbers would have been around 310 RWHP and 277 ft/lbs of torque. I had another run with 264 ft/lbs and 296 RWHP, this was the backup run with 259 Torque 296 RWHP.

Looks good mark, I just saw the chart on miataforum. That kind of power is what spins the first 3 gears with ease. However, like me you see massive torque dropoff on the topend. I believe that when we move to the BEGI Intake Manifold that we will carry torque deeper into the rpms. From the looks of your chart you spool just a tad slower than I do, maybe 500rpms or so. The lag isnt nearly as bad as I had imagined it would be. When you get a new exhaust manifold I bet power will carry out after 7000rpm a LOT better, not to mention the new intake manifold as well. If I was you though I would be shifting at 7200 on your setup since revving it out wouldnt be worth it...still must be nice to carry it out to 8500 though;)

It looks a little lean (almost 13 at ~5400 rpm) near peak torque. If it's a butt sniffer it should be good but if it was me I would want it to be a little richer around peak torque.

Something like that *arrow down*

Braineack 12-07-2006 01:35 PM

is that with the new manifold?

No, that's the old manifold.

Nice.

doesn't look like going past 7000rpm is doing much for you at this point(maybe the manifold?). The intake manfold might help but i'm guessing cams are what you really need since it looks like you're making more power at 5Krpm than you are at 8.

(per Efini's post) You're running a minimum 12:8 to 12.0:1 AFR at 15-19psi? Is that the dyno tail pipe sniffer? If so, that shows about a full point leaner- right?

Dyno tail pipe sniffer... so ya, it's probably rich. I didn't datalog it, so I don't know yet.

A diy turbo setup built around a chinacharger.

smallblockman69 03-27-2007 11:05 PM

Very Nice:)

turbopezz 03-28-2007 12:21 AM

ah,now that this is backup.
the phrase the nimbers are uncorrected what does that mean.
its ran on a different type of dyno,or above sea level.

magnamx-5 03-28-2007 08:45 AM

no it gave raw dyno numbers with no altitude and or temp compensation. for STP

akaryrye 03-28-2007 10:47 AM

at higher altitudes, cars make less power basically.

turbopezz 03-28-2007 06:30 PM

im at sea level.thats probaly why i never hear of that term.
