My raceday

So i finally got my car dynoed and raced it at the 1/4 mile. Got my car tuned at MAC autosport in parker colorado, did and excellent job of tuning, put down 200 horsepower and 189 ft/lbs torque on a dynojet dyno. Had it tuned for 10psi, however i have not added a helper spring to my setup yet. My turbo would spool to full boost around 4-4.5k at 10psi and then settle to 8 psi until redline.
Getting ready for the helper spring and then get it dynoed again. highest A/F ratio was 12.4.

Raced the 1/4 mile at bandimere speedway in denver colorado.

My best time was a 15.7, and this was the first time i raced, where i quickly learned reaction time plays a big part in getting good times. Rain canceled night so i never got to see what a good run with good reaction time would get.

I dont know how to post pictures or i would put my dyno slip and 1/4 times down
R/T .791
60' 2.7
1/4 15.7
Trap Speed 95.44

MAC and awesome tuning do not go in the same sentence. Their dyno is also REALLY optimistic

/failure

I can't speak for the quality of the shop/dyno, but 200 rwhp sounds about right for 10 psi. Is this on a Greddy or what?

if you have a 240sx and want to be into mad dorifto, well then it's the place for you.
it's also the only 4 wheel dyno I know of in south denver so the audi club meets there a lot, when a stock RS6 is putting down more than the rated BHP to the wheels, something is up.

kotomile 09-08-2007 09:49 PM

Meh there are a handful of cars that will routinely dyno more to the wheels than the factory claimed BHP. I don't know if the RS6 is one of them but it could be. I know the SRT4 will regularly dyno ~250 WHP and it's only rated at 230 factory.

It's not.

I bet :gay: if only they made it in a coupe i would overlook the FWD aspect.

95 mph is real fast for a 15.7 thats like in the low 14 high 13 range...
i drove a drag tuned toyota truck and i hit 14.9 1/4 only at 84 mph..but then again i was on slicks with a kick ass rear end

cjernigan 09-08-2007 10:13 PM

All these drag times coming up. I feel out of place. Never been to a dragstrip in my life. I think we have a 1/8th about 10 miles from here though.

magnamx-5 09-08-2007 10:15 PM

dude we should get together you can fix my MS for EBC and we can run in nashville or something ;)

Philip 09-08-2007 10:15 PM

you idiots need to consider the WHP figure he gave is corrected and the time he gave is not. Bandi is something like 5200'

Braineack 09-08-2007 10:17 PM

my 2000 altima ran a 15.7, it weighs more and has less whp. something's not right.

your HP numbers seem awfully high for 10psi with a greddy kit...upload your pics to tinypic.com

hello, fucking altitude

magnamx-5 09-08-2007 10:23 PM

hmm so you are saying that altitude makes less hp. Damn and i thought FM was in the mountians to make more hp ;) Must be the purple zip ties and panosport 13 inch wheels

Braineack 09-08-2007 10:24 PM

you posted that shit before i finished reading the thread!

FM adds like a 20% correction.

fwiw, Tuscon is 2703'

kotomile 09-08-2007 10:55 PM

...but Denver is not Tuscon....

drewbroo 09-09-2007 12:04 AM

I ran better than that with my JRSC. I was running 14.7-14.9's at bradenton. Although here and there I ran a 16. (SC belt slippage.) I think you can do much better....

hellloooooooo how many fucking times do I have to mention the altitude he ran at? FUCK.
if the population here has really become this dumb it's time to pack it in.

kotomile 09-09-2007 01:08 AM

Bradenton is at sea level though.

kotomile 09-09-2007 01:09 AM
