NB1 with GT2860R at 12.5 psi.

Here is the dyno sheet from today.

I plan to hit the nearest 1/4 mile track on Sunday on my skinny little 195's... will post up time slip after.

Yup! I have more dyno sheets in my build thread, including a comparison between the M45 in stock form and my setup now... more torque from the turbo from just off idle to redline.

I can't wait to see those time slips. Great dyno!!

Drag strip results!

Out of 5 runs I only got one clean pass, and that one was with slow shifting to get a clean run. First run I missed 5th, (passed reverse detent, had to come back and go up). Second pass missed 3rd. Third pass (these were back to back passes) I smoked the shit out of the clutch. Waited an hour for the clutch to cool off and recover a bit, then did my final two runs. Fourth run missed 3rd and 5th, but not as bad. Fifth and final run was clean, but I got a clean run by doing really slow 4th to 5th shift.

60' . . . . . . . . . . . 2.143
330' . . . . . . . . . . 5.8922

1/4 MPH . . . . . . 106.86

That's downright fast man! all at 12psi, which is beautiful. My new 2860rs has a 12psi wastegate, so it looks like I'm in for some fun.

You doing a custom setup, or a kit from a vendor?

Keith

what do you have for diff/engine mounts?

I found the delrin diff bushing/mount really reduced drivetrain movement (allowing you to hit your gears) and wasn't noticeable as far as NVH is concerned. It also helps prevent wheel hop from the diff/ppf slapping around.

BEGI log manifold and BEGI downpipe, gt2860RS, semi built motor.

I've been really busy recently, but all the parts are here.

Wow nice numbers! I can manage a 14 flat on my msm stock turbo. Good to know once I upgrade I can see some nice numbers.:skid: You must be spinning a lot off the line, I can't believe I have a faster 60ft.

Edit: just noticed you said you were on 195 tires... Yeah get some 225s on there!!!

I think the 4.3 and notchy 6sp is really hurting your time and trap (obviously you already know this).

So I'm guessing that WTB ad for a diff carrier is for a planned 3.6? haha

I have stiffer engine mounts. Drivetrain movement isn't the problem, in a 5 speed it is easy, toward driver 1 & 2, middle 3 & 4, shove it to the right for 5.
With the 6 speed, shove it to the right and it is easy to go too far into the slot for reverse.

Sounds like a good setup, have you ported the internal wastegate yet?

225/45/15 RS3's mounted on 15 x 9 6UL's should be arriving on Wednesday :D

I followed bad advice on my clutch choice (thanks again Stephanie!), so the wider tires may not improve my times that much, if I launch from a high enough RPM to be in boost I get clutch slip even with the 195's.

Yup :) May just buy somebody's torsen rear end with gears (any ratio) and swap them out.

Trap speed would have been 110+ with a good shift to 5th, you can actually see VSS drop substantially on the data log in the second between leaving 4th and engaging 5th.

Very nice. You running wastegate 12.5 or EBC?

Do you have a dyno printout of the supercharger?

I have a 38mm external wastegate, and due to the poor design of the return to the downpipe I have around 3 psi of boost creep. I currently have a 7.3 psi spring in the wastegate with a Halman MBC to bring it up a couple of psi to around an opening pressure of 9.5 psi, and the boost creep takes it slowly the rest of the way up to 12.5 psi.

Here is the supercharger in stock configuration (around 5.5 psi) compared to the turbo at 12.5 psi.

How come no graph from when you had that little 45 on the frappe setting?

<sigh> I deserve that one!

You talking about a graph of the M45 at 9 psi? There is a whole thread about it here just a few spaces down from this thread:
