Default Ongoing saga of 500 rwhp

Went back to the dyno this morning with a freshly built return style fuel system, and a new Fuel pressure regulator. I maxxed my 1000cc injectors out at 490 hp and 426 tq at 24 pounds of boost. I have to get 1600cc injectors now, and have to run 2 intank walboro pumps. GAH it never ends. I just want to be finished with it!!!!!!!

I can't fathom what 500whp would be like. My 250whp car scares me at times...twice the power...(jaw drops)... Good luck man!

Lots and lots of wheel spin. Suprisingly poor times with high trap speed.

It actually probably isn't quicker but I bet it's faster.

Actually, I have boost by gear, boost by rpm, and traction controll through abs. Wheel spin is actually not that big of a problem. Im not saying that it doesnt spin, Im just saying its not like you think. I have 1.70 60 fts most of the time. It definitely a mid 10 sec car. As soon as some tracks open back up from the winter ill have some time slips.

Sounds like a fun ride.

That's awesome, are you gonna look into a different intake manifold? I just saw a 30hp increase dyno graph for a older BEGi unit. What 1600cc injectors are you gonna be using?

I am running all MoTeC Electronics. Everything works so well together. It really is a fun ride. I am going to keep the stock intake manifold for now. I have modded it by taking those secondary butterflies out and increasing the volume of air it can hold. I got a 20 hp gain by doing that at 19 pounds. I want an intake, but it can wait.

Why not just use race gas for when you are running high boost? I know E85 is cool but now you are having to upgrade to a huge *** injector just to support it. Throw in some C16 and youll have your 500whp without needing the extra injector.

Or even 50/50 alky injection would allow him to not have to go to monster injectors.

I actually think that bang for the buck on a car with fully programmable injection that E85 is a viable way to go. It's not all that bad out of boost, will suppress detonation with ease, and is capable of big power without expensive race gas. You can see it starting to make itself more mainstream and you can possibly avoid smog complications with E85 that would be harder to do on pump gas and impossible with leaded race gas. I am considering switching to E85 on my car as well. Just for the fun of it.

As for me, I will simply add a second rail and run a second set of injectors with the TEC-IIIR.

Fmowry- My bad again. I did the search a year ago on there and there was one station like 10 miles north of Nashville. When I type in my own zipcode I get Oak Ridge which is 78 miles from me. The addresses you listed for Nashville are a minimum of 85 miles from me. Sunoco is 1.5 miles. Thanks for the Search though, my truck is Flex fuel, it might like some E85 again one day.

No prob. I just posted the link as E85 stations probably come and go frequently especially with the rollercoast costs of regular unlead in the past year. I searched my area a year ago and one is within 15 miles. Not sure if I'll do it and try to tune for it or not though.

I just tossed in Nashville as it's the only city I could think of in TN.
