Default FMU with E-MANAGE?

will i need to install my BEGI FMU with my E-MANAGE BLUE or can i just use the emanage to adjust my 310cc injectors to throw more fuel at it. i did not want a fmu on this turbo setup.

Why are you against using the FMU?

You could probably pull off 5 psi with those injectors, but you'd be pushing it.

Well after some experimenting this weekend (and finally getting my o2 clamp in and MAP sensor in), I'm seeing injector duty cycles of 73% at redline with an 11.1~11.2 afr with my 330s and begi fmu @ 75ish psi. At that fuel pressure, the injectors should be flowing around 410-420 cc/min, and this is at 5psi (sourced from the compressor outlet, so really only 3-4psi at the intake manifold as my boost gauge reads). So I think I'll only be able to get maybe 7-8psi at the compressor outlet.

So with that in mind, 8psi sounds high for 370s (I'm assuming you're using a small turbo like my 2554). Could be my fuel pump isn't capable of 75psi anymore (it sure was a couple weeks ago)...I need to get that fuel pressure gauge zip tied to the wiper again, I think.

I think you should run the FMU. Yes, it's another variable, but it's consistent in its behavior and it'll only take a couple of test drives to dial it in if it's adjustable. You'll have the added benefit of extra fuel w/o needing bigger injectors. But that's just me.

you're installing 460cc injectors with the emb? that won't work...they won't idle.
there is the "magic miata" that pulled it off, but no one is really sure why that worked. there is another post here about fiddling with the injector correction, but there were supposed to be issues with timing.
I've got a set of 460's for if/when I go standalone, but when i install the EMB, it will be with 305's and keeping the fmu, which is currently at 75psi with 6psi boost on stock 1.6 injectors.
Imagine you found some problems last month?
