Default Hypothetical regarding the EMU and CA emissions

Let's say somone were to move up to an EMU and bigger injectors on a '91, from an EMB, to run 12 psi FMU free. Would there be an inherent problem passing the CA sniffer test and the electronic cert? The visual inspection is what it is. I'm asking, hypothetically, about the sniffer and the transmitted cert.

Thanks!

Take the lid off the FMU, remove the flexible disc, and grind open the passage such that fuel flows freely through it. Do not grind away the seating area of the disc. Then replace the disc, reassemble, and put it back on the firewall with the hoses as they were before. Plug the vacuum hose with some RTV and reinstall it as before. When going in for the smog check, put your AFM back in. That pretty much covers the visual.

I passed the proctological exam with decent numbers last year running an EMU with 440cc injectors. My AFM was physically in place, but I left the EMU in MAP-only mode.

Put it this way, I passed the test last time with my current set-up and no FMU even installed.

Yeah.

Anyway, I was just wondering if the way the EMU interacts with the stock ECU to use bigger injectors somehow makes it impossible to get certified. Question answered.

Thanks!
