hello
I am planning on getting the Knocksense unit. The guy asked me to supply the engine bore he said "Each unit is individually optimized to the engine bore so please supply the approximate bore size in millimeters" i have a 2001 miata and how can i find that out. He said that he might do a discount if more than 25 people are willing to buy. Anyone interested?

The knocksense will work with your stock sensor. The bore doesn't really matter, you have to tune it yourself anyway.

There are two adjustments on the KS- frequency and sensitivity (gain).
Boris sets up the bandpass filter to match the calculated knock frequency of the block before he ships out the unit. Then it's up to the user to adjust the sensitivity once the device is installed.

cjernigan, can i apply this to my sig please? i dont know why this makes me laugh so much, am i the only one that found it funny?
I have bought older J&S unit with monitor.
Havnt had time for installation yet.
My plan is to measure monitor signal voltage
and adapt this to EMU for ign retard.
Before I will ask J&S guys which voltage range they use
for the LED monitior.

Speaking of dumb questions: where do I hook up my Knocksense Chad?
Cheers,
