Default Probably a stupid ? about emanage

Do both the emanage blue and ultimate have built in timing retard?

Can someone give me the basic differences between the 2.

Thanx

The EMU will allow you to run very large fuel injectors, since it intercepts the injector lines directly, rather than trying to trick the ECU by altering the AFM signal.

The EMU will allow you to remove your AFM altogether and do MAP-based substitution (click the link in my sig)

The EMU supports AFR autotune from a wideband O2 sensor.

The EMU will allow you to convert batch injector wiring to sequential injector wiring.

The EMU costs roughly the same as the MSPNP, which is a full standalone and probably a better solution overall.

Why is AEM better?

So far as I can tell, the AEM unit does not allow for AFM removal, which should be of concern to any 1.6 owners considering its purchase. Other than that, it looks to have similar capabilities to the EMU, although I find some of AEM's marketing language a bit amusing:
The F/IC is the only piggy-back system that can decrease injector pulse-width, allowing the user to drive larger aftermarket injectors while still maintaining proper air / fuel ratios.
I can deal with hyperbole in product specs, but not outright falsehood.
