Default Quick question on EMB

I have a Emanage blue that was used. I got it wired into an ecu already so all i have to do is plug it in and ground the MAP. I thought it would be easy since my friend told me it had a good setting on it already. So i did it last night and took it out fro a drive. Found out its running soo rich. My set up is in my sig. I wanted to ask what it be a good idea to take out the Vortech and try tuning it like that.

I dont have to software yet but i was excited to install it. No wideband either, but i got a narrowband A/F guage

I would say delete this post and put it in the E-manage section before the vultures see it.

Get a wideband, get the software - try to make your self comfortable with car tuning. (Or post your whole setup and hope someone is able to give you a base map to start from - but that doesn't keep you from having to know what is going on).

Have you been running the 305cc injectors prior to installing the EMB? If so, what did you do to correct for them?

As to the EMB itself, no matter how cool your friend is, his car is not the same as your car. You need to get the tuning software and cable, and get familiar with it and with the software setup on your EMB.

You could dump the Vortech and run 5 psi with 305's and a tuned EMB map. Obviously gonna need the wideband to street tune it though.

I was gonna do that. Im supposed to be on 1.8 injectors but i only have 3 so i
used the 305cc instead.

You can download the software in the file section of the yahoo groups...

I have the original CD as well, but I've never had good luck copying any CD's...
