im stuck in a problem and i need help badly, well i hooked up a GM 2 Bar MAP sensor for a throttle sensor, well the sensor was bad....... (now i know) and well what happens is when i turn the car on and the "Throttle Tab" shows the voltage starts at 0 and slowly builds up to 5V, what i dont understand is where its getting this 5v source, there is nothing connected to the wire on the harness for the TPS signal and its causing my car to go into the "fouled spark plug cleaning setting" and prevents me from driving.......
what i need help figuring out is where its getting this 5V source and how to stop it.................
Thank you, Please post any opinions or facts!

It's not uncommon for analog inputs that are unconnected to float around. Sounds like it's not actually hooked up to the MAP sensor. For a quick fix, ground it.
It does sound like it's not connected. Also, the TPS typically has a pull up resistor, either in the car itself or in your internal circuit. That's how they work. Got any good pics of the board, etc?

the emanage board? i dont have a camera at the moment but i did inspect it and it looks fine from what i can tell,
i just dont understand why the EMU is getting a 5v source with the wire cut and nothing connected to the EMU TPS wire at all........
