Default 99 miata management selection

Hey guys i need some opinions on what i should use asfar and management goes. I have 550cc injectors and are planning on running around 1.5bar so far ive looked into the megasquirt pnp module its nice but kinda pricey.

I'm at a loss here cause i have never done any tuning ever and wanna get the best bang for my buck here. I'm kinda confused on what will happen if i get a standalone management system like e-manage or something similar. Do you get some sort of preset base maps with they system or can u get preconfigured base maps to upload to a standalone unit or is it a start from scratch deal?

Any recommendation?

Thanks for your time

There is no MSPNP yet for a 99. Options include, Hydra, Xede, MS-1 (built yourself and run as standalone or parallel with a CAS) or MS-II using stock sensors. You can build / make anything you want work. Read as much as you can on this site, and learn. I guess there is a PNP standalone that recently came out called Adaptronic? I think there is 1 maybe 2 users on this site using it, and it seems pretty reasonable priced.

cant wait to get my adaptronic
as far as emanage its not standalone though can work up to a certain point. ms is not pnp. xede is nice but for the same price you could get something better. hydra is awesome but pricey.
