Awesome news!!! I put the stock ECU back in and the gauge reads around 14:1 at idle. So that means with the MegaSquirt, I must be getting some sort of misfire/ignition problem. When I get home I will look over my tune and attach it if I can’t find anything wrong with it. What settings should I check. I’m pretty sure I’m using the base map from diyautotune, so I thought this stuff would already be set up. Edit: When I changed my spark plugs 1&3 were pretty sooty. Could that be related?

Far from it. They'll generally get you started, but these cars are 15-30 years old, so there are a lot of variables, from health of the injectors to mileage on the motor. Best to make sure your required fuel matches, your dead time is correct, and tune from there. Start multiplying the fuel table by 1.1, see if you can get it to idle in the 14s when warm.

You don't perchance have a cal model with sequential injection, do you?

First owner is unknown but the second owner used the car as a Sunday cruiser. The guy who sold it to me said she was an old lady that got terminal cancer. It wasn't driven hard until I got it. Bought at 99k is around 115k now. Kept up with frequent oil changes and it has good motor as far as I know. Little to no blow-by even when auto-crossing and doing stupid stuff. I would run 93 through it every 5 fill ups or so for the cleaning additives. The car was daily driven up until the megasquirt install. I plan on going back to dailying it once it's tuned. We will see how it goes, though. I'm taking it to the DMV tomorrow to get new tags on the stock ECU. I've been monitoring the AFRs with the newly installed gauge and its rich as 13:1 in cruise so we're safe there lol. I'll just disregard that beautiful check engine light as per usual.

Edit: Non-CA model bought from a dealership in Bristol, Tennessee I believe.

This is the base map I plan on starting the car with tomorrow. There was a lot of differences between this and the tune I used first. Both are from DIYAT but I may have downloaded the wrong one the first time. Anyone car to peek over it. I dialed in the NB1 req fuel settings too.
