thought this was clever. except that, of course, it has serious design flaws. even still, the price is right.
How I built a Laptop / Notebook Computer Tray for my Toyota Tacoma Pickup
I wonder what happens when you.. you know, stop and go. does it just swing around and slap you in the face?

I don't think there'd be any reason to glue it. Most PVC is a real tight fit, and if you manage to shove a fitting completely to gether so it's bottomed out, good luck pulling them apart without a vice... especially pieces that big. Glue acts as a lubricant making it push pieces together, but mostly it's to complete the waterproofing and hold pieces together during pressure. Those pieces will be under compression always, and I don't see any need at all for glue. Plus you're gonna smell that glue for weeks in the car, especially when it's baking in the sun for hours.

Could always figure out a way to drill a SMALL(ish) hole in the cupholder (from the inside of the dash most likely...and then if the tacomas are like most modern 99% plastic interior pieces, should be easy enough to pull the glove box section out and slide a pin in to keep it from swiveling. Not necessarily a good idea if you're taking it in out 5-10 times a day but if it's an occasional thing...could be a plan.
