Distributor to coils?

Default Distributor to coils?

Ive got a mazda bp26 engine im converting to rwd.now it runs the distributor which sticks out alot from the back of the head. is it possible to run coils on a stock bp26 ECU?

since the ignition system doesn't exist in the ecu, probably not. a distributor simply spins with the motor to generate the spark.

cheapest option is a bare bones megasquirt.

+1 Possible to run a more modern ignition system, but you're going to need a new PCM.

why? haha havnt you seen a G3 or G4 link? and im in new zealand where they are made so alot of support easily assessable here

the brand of ECU doesn't matter. the requirement for it is key though.
