Default Flyin Miata Link ECU Rtlink issue.

Hey guys. I finally got my SC install 'done' and I'm driving the car around playing with it. The problem is I really want to datalog, tune and monitor my stuff real time with RTlink, but the dang thing won't work! It just says 'can't sync on stream data. Retry." DLL can pull maps and datalog using LinkWin just fine. I'm using a laptop on win10, and I'm fairly certain my Rtlink install was done correctly. It 'reads' data for about a tenth of a second, then gives the above error.

Any help would be appreciated.

fwiw:
RTLink was written for Windows 95 originally, we believe. It is no longer supported and may or may not run on a modern OS.
IMO you're faced with doing all the PC things you do to try and get archaic software to work. You could build a Win95 Link tuning laptop.

Right click on the exe and go into properties, then set compatibility mode for Windows 95 and try again

Seems like you have two options then

1. find a win95 laptop
2. spin up a virtual machine running windows 95 and hope the serial/usb pass through to the VM works.

Yea I was planning on finding one of those mini laptops that have 8" screens and tearing it apart and extending the display so I could have it where the radio goes. Looks like that project is accelerated now.
