10* is stock but 15* makes it more lively.

10° is where the timing will lock if you jump 10 to GND on your diagnostics port.

Advancing it to 15°, just means your increasing the total advance 5° through the entire load/rpm table.

If peak timing on a 1.6L is 27° @ WOT, you'll now be hitting 32°.
