Link?
I know less than nothing about it. A friend changed injectors to 440's in a 1.6 turbocharged and I want to get the default map for 440's working. Can I do this without going to every position and changing it? Can it be uploaded somehow?

You can also get the default map from FM, but I can also send you that map. Easiest way to do this is with dataloglab and the serial link. Enables uploading with laptop. If friend has serial link it will be easy. If not you have to use the handheld and it's a pain (time consuming) not really difficult. The LINK manual can also be downloaded on FM's site

The default map for 440s is stored in the Link. If you look through the directions you can switch between default maps just using the keypad. You might want to save the current map to a laptop just in case though.
Flyin' Miata : Instructions : ECUs
From page 5 of the tuning manual.
Load Default values: The ECU contains 4 sets of de fault values to help speed along the
tuning process. In most cases, the default values will allow the car to start and run normally.
Turn the car “on” but do not start the engine. Scroll to the RELOAD screen and press the
combination of edit keys that makes the desired default title display in the screen. Then, while
holding down the correct combination of edit keys, press both adjust keys to load the de fault
values. When the screen fills with asterisks, release the adjust keys. The ECU will reset when
finished.

Keep in mind that if you go with the default 440cc map, you will lose all the tuning that's been done with prior injectors. Just moving the master fuel leaves everything else as is. Of course this only applies IF the car has already been tuned with the previous injectors.
