N00b can't get warm idle

N00b can't get warm idle
I've been refraining to post but this has been killing me for the past month.
I cannot seem to get a stable idle (98/99 nb MSPNP2 - AEM 30-4110 wb), I've played around with a multitude of settings trying to get this to work (decreasing IAC pulse, increasing WUE etc).
I've managed to get it to idle from cold to warm (off WUE) ok, using a ridiculously high injector deadtime (1.8 ms), because my pulsewidths seemed a bit too high, but eventually it will start to stumble and die. Then fail to hot restart completely.
Also I've disabled any close-loop aids (ego corr. especially) because I've read that it should be able to idle stably on complete open loop?
P.S. I know my fuel VE tables are also incredibly high, but anything lower results in the car leaning out early and dying.
Other notes: Everything else is stock, and the car runs fine on stock ECU.
