I received my adapter yesterday and it looks great. Can't wait to get a chance to try it out! Thank you!

Not to crap the thread, but i've yet to get a computer running to use the link adapter yet

but i did however plug in my keypad for the first time and it lit up like this but it doesn't respond

i am not sure if it's the cable, keypad, or ecu connector. ANybody had this happen?

*Edit- Keith says it's got a bad connection. solder points on the keypad look ok, so i'm guessing it's the cable. . . . Crap

If your still into making these serialLink adapters mentioned in this thread, I'm in need of one. I wound up with a car running this ecu and the PO has lost the serialLink. Let me know how much you want to make it worth the trouble and I can Paypal you. Thanks.

I know, first post and all, but I came across this thread searching for a solution. This car is my 5th Miata (currently own 3) and my first turbo.

forgot to update this, took the keypad apart again to check everything, looks good

Stretched out the ribbon cabe as well to inspect, plugged the keypad back in and bingo, it works

Mine did the same thing, very intermittent. I removed the ribbon cable right where it goes into the keypad and moved the connector back a few inches, worked great (after I ordered a whole new ribbon cable of course).

TurboRoach, I sent you a PM also. Are you still making the Serial Link adapter? If yes, how much and where can I send the money?

thanks in advance,

Just glossed over this thread. Are these adapters for the standalone, or the piggyback?

I had the sale problem with my Keypad, the source was the connector pin soldering on the keypad board. The problem was only apparent when the cable was connected to the keypad (pressure on the pins). The was easily corrected by checking continuity from pin to board and resoldering the defective pins.
