Default Sent My 04 MSM ECU to ChipTorque Yesterday

Good Morning One and All
I finally pull the trigger and sent my ECU to ChipTorque in Australia yesterday. After speaking with Steve Harris who use to work with BEGI (closed down) , he said they are still providing ECU tuning. I am in NY and I sent it FEDEX on 8/7/20 to ChipTorque and is suppose to be there by 8/11/20 shipping there cost me $167 for expedited shipping (reg which would have got there on 8/18/20 was $50 cheaper) the tune will cost 800 AUD which is about $550 USD plus returning shipping I will keep you updated as soon as I get it back

I hope you already have a CAI, 2.5-3" exhaust and larger injectors because if you don't, it'll be another A$800+S&H when you make your next power mod.
ChipTorque mods, like all tunes, are specific to your components so it's best to wait until you have all your power mods before getting the ChipTorque modded chip installed.

Most guys on the Aussie mx5cartalk.com forum with the ChipTorque mod are initially very happy with the update, drive-ability and power, until the desire for "MOAR POWA" stirs again.

A little back story about a month and a 1/2 ago I bought a2004 Mazda miata Mazda speed for $5200 with a 113000 miles on it Overly excited over the price I did not look at this car the way I normally would or should have it had a little Rot in the rocker panels in the rear so I brought it to my friend's body shop and we started working On it immediately But like normal anything too good to be true usually it's I found out the hard way that both front frame rails were rotted So we fixed and also the rims which are rigid had giant scuff marks in them so I had them repaired because I was getting the rims repaired I figured new tires were necessary new brake calipers to brake lines that's when I realized the front end was wiped out So I replaced the shocks were tien coil overs and all new moog Front end parts Which is when I learned the stock Turbo was leaking so I sent the Turbo out to be a rebuilt At which point I found out about flying miata at that we I just ordered the little enchilada kit New timing belt water pump and accessory belts Lightened flywheel and clutch After fixing all this and thinking that the front or rear main seal is leaking to my disbelief it was the oil Pan So I dropped a subframe And repaired the oil Pan gasket After doing some research on the little enchilada kit I heard issues about drive ability and that the stock injectors were maxed out At 1st I was going to do a stand alone Mega squirt with 750 injectors But this is going to be a daily driver for So after a little worry search I ended up calling chip torque And spoke with Steve Harris who by the way is a gentleman He recommended going to RX8 injectors and a walbro 255lph Fuel pump I will be pushing the limits of the stock Turbo at 12 pounds And hoping to keep a safe power level of approximately 225 hp

Good to see that you've got all the supporting hardware (once you have the larger injectors and fuel pump), but do make sure that the RX8 injectors are genuine since there's more dodgy versions available online than genuine ones :(
