I have 1994 miata with a 2001 motor. It is running off the 94 computer with the cas. I know that for the vvtuner you use the nb sensors for the tuner and then it outputs the nb signals to na ones for the computer. What I want to know is if I could just run the nb crank and cam position sensor to the vvtuner. And the stock computer still just runs off the cas

Yes you can and I am. I am running ms diypnp via cas and vvtunner via crank and cam sensors.
But stock ecu will work fine on cas and vvtunner will work fine on nb sensors.

Now will it be rich or lean with a stock ecu. I have no idea. Is it safe to be that rich or lean. No idea but it will work.
