Did you have to send your unit back to Travis to get the diode fix? I'm afraid to use VVT for this cause I don't want to send it back without having a backup ecu.

Well, I fixed it by myself but still I have to test if it works. I'm currently using another unit from a friend who haven't started his build yet.

The VTCS is nothing more than a restriction on the intake manifold right up next to the intake ports of the head. Even fully open, it does a decent job at restricting airflow into the cylinder. Gut out the VTCS system, I say. Its sole purpose is in gaining that last billionth of a percentage in emission reduction by making the intake charge all swirly and **** when the engine is cold.
