Ok everyone, so I've got some questions regarding a 1.6 with a MBSP.

Now, im not trying to run the MBSP from a 1.8 on a 1.6. Rather, after seeing that Bill Wilner sells a MBSP for a 1.6, I started doing some digging and found the actual part. It does fit the miata 1.6 but came from a different engine. Ill get into that later.

Now, my main question for everyone here is, have any of you seen or heard of this? If so, is there any info anywhere for a 1.6 with a MBSP. I know i will need to machine the 1.6 oil pan, I'm just sure sure about the specifics. I did a search and am not coming up with any further information or pictures or anything to be honest.

Hoping someone out there has some info.

Jdm and edm nb with 1.6l b6ze or something may of come with one.

 

EUDM NBs and NB2s do not have it.

 

Ok, so I'm bringing this one back from the dead and hoping someone may have more or new information to share. I ended up buying the MBSP that WILL fit a 1.6. I technically know what needs to be done to make it fit, just looking to see if there is anyone out there that has already done it or if anyone has seen more information on. I don't mind being the first to show the work to get it done but im hoping someone else has already done it and shared any info.

Btw, the MBSP I acquired is identical to that from a 1.8 with the MBSP, but shorter for the 1.6. And it is also a 4 cap MBSP like the 1.8. Still considering converting it to a 5 cap design. I would just need a 1.8 MBSP to butcher.
