1.6 NB Exhintake

1.6 NB Exhintake
Hey guys,
i have read a lot about the 1.8 NB Exhintake mod, although the difference between the intake and exhaust cam on the BP4W is very minor. so the Benefits arent that great. But i have not found any major infos about the 1.6 NB engine. just some bits here and ther but nobody who has actually done it.
Because i have both, a 1.6 and 1.8 NB. (And also a spare 1.6 block that has bearing damage) i wanted to ask if anybody has done the exhintake mod on a 1.6 NB (Here in Germany, as well as in many other EU countries there are lots of 1.6 NBs around, way more than 1.8). If so, How are the results and can i use the template for drilling the factory cam gears, thats used for the 1.8?
In theory the 1.6 exhintake should work really nicely, since the exhaust cam is much larger than the intake cam. Although i dont know if there are going to be problems going to a much larger cam only on the intake side.
Specs are:
Intake / Exhaust
Lash ramp: 0,25mm / 0,3mm
duration @0,1mm: 226 Degrees / 242 Degrees
duration @ 1,0mm: 189 Degrees / 200 Degrees
valve lift 7,5mm / 8,3mm
cam lift 7,5mm / 8,3mm
lobe angle 110 Degrees / 110 Degrees
timing @ 1,0mm -16/25 Degrees / 30/-10 Degrees
valve lift @TDC: 0,35mm / 0,6mm
at the moment im running on a speeduino and other modifications are a different rear muffler and thats basically it. The car should probably be around 120 hp at the crank.
The effects on a turbocharged setup would also be interesting, since that is planned in the future, but im running NA for now until summer probably.
Thanks!

i think he did it on his 1.6 NA. in that engine, the cams are very similar. The nb intake cam has a lot less duration and less lift at that. thats the reason why the na has 116 hp and the nb 110. Biggest difference with those engines are the cams. with that, the exhintake on a 1.6 Nb engine should yield around 10 hp given the massive changes.

Update: Okay... well... uhm... aparently with exhintake on the 1.66 nb it makes the engine an interference engine... learned the hard way. put the cam in wasnt timed correctly and now it doesnt start even with the stock cam. low compression on cyl 4 (5 bar) and 3 (9 bar)
sooo that project is on hold for some time now

Spoiler
Unfortunately do not have access to a dyno nor possible for me to do a virtual dyno at the moment since the roads here are too bad to do a clean pull) But i can fully confirm it works with the stock NB 1.6 Cams. Also the Template for i think 197.5 degrees is also correct. And i also have some spark issues still remaining soo yeah no full power pulls i guess
