What year is your car, where do you live, etc?

Maybe around 250rwhp i just want something that i enjoy driving and building.

Miata motors aren't very strong, and can't get you much power, I'd look into the 13b swap :]

x100000000

Rotary is definitely the way you want to go if you want a good, strong, reliable motor. Now you throw a stroker in that beast and that's where you see some real power.

Definitely. Especially a cammed rotary with forged rods and NOS

250whp is fast as shit. At 240whp, I'm just as fast as a C6Z on the highway or the frontstretch of TWS up to 150mph. A 200whp Miata is a fun, zippy car, at 250whp it's a pretty dangerous car where you can easily kill yourself.

I mean this sincerely, I run on the wastegate for 240whp, I have no real desire to crank the boost up to 16psi which makes about 300...it's just too much.
