300bhp
Hi All,
I'm currently in process of turboing car and I know on standard internals im limited to 250bhp etc but iv been looking for a while and found lots of very different answers so was looking for a final conclusion. so my question is,
what is limiting the engine to 250bhp and what would be needed to be done to reach 300bhp?
Thanks
Andy

There is no final conclusion.
Before making more idiotic threads, please use the search function. This is one of the most discussed topics on this whole forum. Stock internals CAN be good to about 200-250 WHEEL torque. Rods will get you to and past 300. There is no magic number. You can blow it up at 200 or at 300, it just depends on how bad or good you are at doing it.

see i did use search but it just gave me threads on engines that had been fully rebuilt and didnt answer my question. But you answerd question 'rods get me 300+ aslong as i do things the right way' and guessing i dont need anything else like pistons etc that iv found in nearly every search I done. Thought forums were meant for helping you out anyway not acting smart 'idiotic threads' dont want to seem like a D**k saying that because I have to admit using this site I have found lots of good usfull stuff and its one of the better ones, but thats why I dont use Driftworks, (smart, snidy, comments from people that just want to bring you down and not help)

Nope. These forums are meant to highlight new ideas and discussions on new products. We've already talked about (and answered) your question over and over again.
The collective view is that if you aren't willing to help yourself by searching through the tremendous knowledge bank available to you through the search function, why should we volunteer our time to help you?

Greetings, Andy.
I see that the crew has taken care of giving you the standard welcome, so I'll try to nudge you in the right direction with the concise version of an answer.
The stock connecting rods.
Upgrade the connecting rods.

sorry i just thought that bunch of people with same intrest would help each other out as much as possible, as where im from no one is willing to help with anything really so have to teach myself as much as I can but that gets limited with basic info, its way easyer asking people that know there stuff. I wouldnt say the search is that bad either to be fair, just after a few days of looking and not finding anything thought I would ask.
sorry if I was being a pain
Thanks anyway

The fundamental problem, from your perspective, is that rest of the members here share the common interest of torturing new users for their own amusement.
And bear in mind that you only asked about the engine. You'll figure out which other part likes to explode violently once you get to about 275HP or so, depending on how sticky your tires are.
