90 NA miata turbo
I have a greddy kit on the car but I wanna build the **** out of the car. I wanna do up the 1.6, I know I know everyone is gunna say get 1.8 but I wanna be different. I wanna do 450+ with a gt35r but still retAin a/c. It's my daily driver . I don't have p/s... I'm going to go speed density so does I/c piping size matter? And imma do the 1.6 up everything and anything. This is going to be a long project I don't plan on selling the car anytime soon. So imma have time. I wanna prove that we can make power with those motors I mean come on a single vtec 1.6 turbo civic making 500+ I'm sure we can

You know people have/can/done/do make tons of power from the B6, right? If you're "doing it to be different" then you're being different than the few hundred people on here who say the B6 is inept and can't break 300hp.

Do they still teach research in college? There are basic differences in engine design that may effect the output of two engines of the same displacement. Science, it's still important when you finish the core curriculum.

But I will have insane top end and the late powerband will, hopefully, help me keep traction. What do you want to do with your car? |
I did street race till a friend got hurt doing so. I want to drag race and auto cross I know those two turbos aren't ideal for either but I love power lol, I had a s14 with a corvette motor and I drifted it but I wanna try a new style of competion. So auto cross it is lol

My eclipse GSX I built with the 6262 turbo was my highway runner. I loved the lag then when I hit full boost I left them standing still. The feeling is priceless.

OP, I will say that a GT35 miata will not make a great autocross car. Here is a GT35 miata. Look at the dyno. Nothing until 4.5-5k rpm. |

People are giving you shit because you are building a 1.6. It costs the same amount to buld a 1.8. You know how people pay 5 grand for flyin' miata stroker kits to get a 2.0l? You get more displacement for FREE (or dirt cheap) going from a 1.6 to a 1.8.

GSX actually sounded nice. As for the torsen, FUCK YES its worth it - although 800 is a bit steep imo, people do get that much for them some places. I've got about 400 total in mine, but i bought mine with a broken alum housing, bought a replacement housing, and swapped the two. I used the broken housing to get it for basically nothing. |

Uh, $800 sounds pretty good for both. I think maybe Fireindc thought it was only for the torsen. $800 is a bit steep for each, but for both it's probably a pretty good deal.
