Just thinking of all of the work to build and how much of a pain in the ass it would be for me to maintain a 450-500hp turbo Miata makes me sick. Where as the V8 swap would be some work in the beginning, but once installed, it should in theory be as reliable as any other bolt on LS1 powered car out there, which is pretty damn reliable compared to what a 500hp turbo BP has to be. No worrying about the trans blowing up on you, or the gearing being shit and burning the tires off in second gear (well actually, I bet you could burn the tires off in second... and third and maybe forth), nor worry about blowing a rod out of the block. Maybe its just me though, I like shit to be easy and to be able to have peace of mind when driving.
