I saw no boost being made. I can reach 10psi doping the same.

The throttle was closed. Boost is waiting between the turbo and throttle. It's anti-lag, not launch control. Keeps the turbo going when you are off throttle for braking, turns, and downshifts.

Can the stock Miata IAC open enough to feed enough air to spool the turbo atleast to around 1psi. I know it can hold the engien to 1500rpms atleast with the IAC and the TB shut closed.

That 2nd video is the IAC at 100%. Shows just a hair shy of 2psi at the compressor outlet. The recirc valve was opening just a tiny bit too.

On the NB, the IAC valve can provide enough air for up to about 5000rpm.

I pull about 3000rpm on my 1.6 at 100% duty.

I'm currently working with Keith over on msextra forums to get the ALS code working properly in the HR11 firmware for MS1. There was a few bugs in the initial release. I've gotten 4' flames playing with the lastest .s19 file. :) It all works just the timing stays "latched" even with the switch off. Waiting on the latest .s19 file from him. I'll post a vid or two once I have it working.

Make sure you allow TPS or MAP based ALS activation. It's nice to have the option. Oh, and dither the cooldown idle so you can drive the car smootly with it turned on in case you don't have enough control range with the idle control valve.

It allows TPS activation with a timer to disable since last TPS event. So with the switch on it won't activate untill the TPS goes over a set point then back below it. MS doesn't have provisions for a "cooldown".

Yeah, makes sense that you'd need sequential injection for a skipped injection idle. Could you just set a large hysteresis value and run it hit-n-miss style? Could have a cool rumpa-rumpa idle. :) If not, you will have no choice but to control the ALS air with the idle control motor, or maybe a throttle kicker if you can deal with the TPS calibration issues.

DammitBeavis did you notice how much your coolant temps rise when antilag is activated?

If you sit there and let the burning charge pour out the exhaust ports, coolant temps will go up quickly. I have my ALS set to disable if the coolant temps exceed 114C. Haven't hit that on the Miata, but on the DSM it overheated several times when I was learning how it works. IIRC it would go about 2 minutes at idle before it got too hot. When actually USING it instead of making noise and fire for fun, it's only active for a few seconds at a time, so it's a non-issue. You switch it off when you aren't using it. If you watch the rally cars, they activate it less than 10 seconds before they launch, then shut it down as soon as they are done braking for the finish.

Edit: The rotational idle is sometimes referred to as cool-down mode, and can be put on a timer after turning off the ALS. It runs lots of cool air through the motor, turbo, and exhaust system.
