Best Valve Spring Compressor?
 

What's the best valve spring compressor for 1.8BP head? I am looking more for ease of use and quality than speed.

Nothing is easier than the push on/push off style. I have the KD Tools Valve Service Kit - KDT41910, but Lisle and others make similar kits.

Trust me, you don't need anything that screws into the head, or fancy clamps or anything. Push and click. You can do the entire head in one afternoon, and that includes taking out the lifters to clean them.

Edit: looks like that one isn't sold anymore, so get the Lisle (check post above for sizes), and a decent set of seal puller pliers. The pliers are well worth the cost, because they eliminate the frustration of trying to use needle nose.

I totally agree. I have the lisle version and love it.

Unfortunately the absolute best was the Keeper-Eeze tool but it’s currently out of production. I do know the inventors/manufactures and they may start to manufacture them again. There are many videos of how it works by several retailers like Goodson etc. In the old days we just used pvc with a hole cut in the side and a magnet. Do not use anything that will damage the keepers or the lifter bores.
