Default Complete Engine Rebuild Kits - Need Advice Choosing

Looking around for complete block and head rebuild kits incl ring set, bearings, and all seals/gaskets.

I know there's the FM kit but has anyone ever used any other kits from other sites such as rpmmachines and rpmrons?

Would like to know some feedback.

Also, I do plan on supercharging next year but realize OE HG is MLS. If I'm planning on keeping same thickness anyway is there any reason I should be looking at Cometic or OE replacement HG should be fine?

Thanks in advance.

I just did a rebuild on a 1.6 and ended up going with the OEM gasket kit from Rosenthal Mazda. A little over $200 and included a ton of gaskets/seals. I went with aftermarket pistons, bearings, etc. so I cannot comment on the other items. I think FM over charges for the convenience of having it all together.

Also supercharged and running an OEM head gasket.

^Thanks. I'm extending project to over winter now so likely will piece things separately like you did. Good to know about OE HG so will likely go that route too.

I don't necessarily think I'll need to upgrade pistons and conrods but will likely get new crank bearings and rings as maintenance items to start fresh.

Sorry for the really late response. Didn't see until now. I'm up north in Canada. Harder to find parts / kits here so just considering all options before I pull the trigger on something in the US.
