Basic Motor Work Question..V. I ARE A N00B
For someone that has never done motor work before how hard would it be for me to: buy a used 1.8 motor, break it down, have machine work done on it for new internals like rods/pistons, and put it back together/swap it into my car?
Holy **** that is a bad run-on sentence.
What I am looking to do is buy a used 99 motor, and have ARP studs, pistons (JE or supertech), and rods. (not sure yet, maybe M-Tuned)
I'd have the machine shop put the rods/pistons in, bore out the block, deck it, etc.
Thanks for everyones time.

Build a copy of the motor Savingaids and I are running. You also need to find a machinist who has experience building roadrace turbo engines because there are several differences in tolerance and valve-seats for each type.
